Dawn's Purple Light
Pikes Peak and the newly fallen snow reflected the
beautiful purple light of dawn. I stood there drinking in
all the beauty and was reminded of the song “America
the Beautiful”.  Katherine Lee Bates must have seen
Pikes Peak at dawn when she wrote this song.  I am
thankful to God that I can see the Peak every day and
be inspired by its beauty as she was.
