I was so grateful to have the opportunity to photograph this magnificent Harris Hawk, named “Zeus”, from Natures Educators rehabilitation group out of Denver, CO. Harris Hawks are unusual raptors, as they tend to hunt in cooperative groups rather than solo. They are easy to train and are social, therefore they are very popular to use in falconry. Zeus was just a bit too noisy on the hunt for falconry and has become a wonderful teaching bird.
