On my last day in the San Juan Mountains, the leaves on Red Mountain Pass were at their peak and even though there was a steady rain, I headed up the pass to take some pictures. I found this gorgeous area near the Uncompahgre River just bursting with color and stood in the rain to capture the rich colors of fall. In nature, there is peace and joy like nothing else I have known!
