Springtime in the Mountains
In June, I went camping at Maroon Lake in Aspen and was surprised to find that most of the wildflowers had yet to start their bloom. After hiking around for a while, I came upon this small patch of brilliant red Indian Paintbrush and got low to the ground to capture the snow covered Maroon Bells looming in the distance behind these beautiful first wildflowers of summer. There is always beauty for me to behold, I just need to open my eyes!
