Winter Sunrise on Pyramid Peak
On a cold winter morning at sunrise, I decided to take photographs of Maroon Bells, so I headed up the snowy road to the lake. I was not aware that Maroon Bells Lake was 10 miles up the road and I would never make it there for sunrise. After about 1½ miles into the walk, the sun began to rise and I knew God had blessed me that day, because Pyramid Peak was right in front of me! This unexpected gift was just what I needed, because I never did get the pictures of Maroon Bells that I wanted.
