I was hiking through the Garden of the Gods just before sunset, hoping for a glimpse of the full moon rising through the red rocks below. I was disappointed to discover the moon rose later than I thought and by then, the sun had already left the valley. Combining two pictures I took on that evening, I created the vision I had of the moon rising through the Cathedral Valley rock formations glowing from the setting sun.
